night creature (part 1)

I decided to go to sleep early tonight. I feel so tired and sleepy. I don’t know what I did until I can’t stand it anymore. So tonight I have to skip to watch my favorite TV show that will be start at 11.00 pm every Friday night. I was in deep sleep until suddenly I felt something rubbing and sniffing my wrist. So I open my eyes slowly and I was so surprise to see there is one tall dark figure standing beside me. Watching me while I am asleep. When I open my eyes wide, then poof….he’s not there anymore. All I can see my curtain blowing in the wind. So I quickly run to my bedroom balcony and see if he still there. To my surprise, he’s not there anymore. So I was wondering, who the hell is he or THAT? I was standing there for almost 10 minute try to figure out how he clied up to my room. And I am so sure that I already close my sliding door. And still I can’t figure out that how he can come up here. I was staying in 12th floor apartment. While I was standing at the balcony, I can see the moon was shining so bright that night. Full moon….it’s so beautiful. I can feel the cold wind blow over my body. It makes me so cold. So I go into my room and continue my sleep.

My alarm clock started to ring at 8.00 am. Wah!! I felt so lazy to wake up that morning. Oh!! I have to go to work. Do I have to go to work?? Oh yes, gene.. I am talking to my self while I am walking to my bathroom. I work as a librarian at the library, 3 blocks from my apartment. I love my job. It’s because I loves to read book. That morning is like ordinary morning. I stop by at the Starbucks to buy drink and some cake so that I can have breakfast with my friend, Oliv, at the park. We always do that. We take turn to buy drinks and some cakes and we will have a breakfast together at the park. She’s already there waiting for me. I can see her smile when she sees me walking towards her.
‘What take you so long, gene?’
‘I am late?? I don’t think so.’
I look at my watch and it shows 9.05am.
‘Oh come on!! I am only late for 5 minutes. You are the one that come early. I am the one that always waiting for you. Remember?’
She looks at me and blushing. We laugh together. So we had our breakfast. While we eat our breakfast, suddenly I remember the thing that happens to me last night.
‘Babe, guess what happen to me last night?’
She looks at me with her puzzle face.
‘I don’t know. Why don’t you tell me then?’
So I tell her everything from the beginning until the end.
She looks at me with her stunned face.
‘You got to be kidding me gene. No way would this thing happen’
I look at her.
‘So, you try to tell me that I make up this story?’
She look away and drink her coffee and
‘Well, I think you must be dreaming.’
‘Huh! Yeah right!’
So we talked about something else. Its 15 minutes to 10.00 am.
‘Well, Oli. I think we have to make a move.’
‘Okay. See you next Saturday then.’
I smile at her,
‘And don’t forget that next Saturday is you turn to buy us a breakfast.’
‘Don’t worry. I will not forget’
So we walk in a different direction.
